Police Issue 64 Tickets In Seatbelt Enforcement Roadcheck PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police conducted a "Buckle Up New York" seatbelt enforcement detail on Route 35 in Somers near Putnam County on Thursday.  During the road check Troopers issued 64 tickets: 41 for seatbelt violations, 21 for speeding and two for other infractions.

Thunderstorm Chance Will Return To Putnam County PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sun, lower humidity and temperatures in the 80s will make Friday a banner day in Westchester County, but storms could threaten to dampen the weekend.  Saturday will begin partly sunny with highs around 80 degrees, but storms could threaten the area in the afternoon. Chance of rain and thunderstorms is 20 percent.  Soggy weather becomes much more likely on Sunday with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout most of the day and into Monday.
