POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. --   Central Hudson crews have successfully re-routed power, restoring electric service nearly all of the 830 customers in the City of Poughkeepsie affected by the power outage that occurred after an underground fire in the downtown area Tuesday afternoon. Power was lost again for brief period after restoration occurred at 5:40 p.m, affecting the 830 customers in the downtown area. Man Attacks Nurse At Good Samaritan Hospital, Police Say SUFFERN, N.Y. -- A Suffern man was charged with felony assault on Monday after kicking a nurse in the face at Good Samaritan Hospital, according to the Suffern Police. Police Chief Clarke Osborn said it was not clear why Javier Huaman Vasquez, 26, was at the hospital when he attacked the nurse, injuring her. Huaman-Vasquez was released on $500 bail and is scheduled to appear in Suffern Justice Court appearance on Jan. 17.
