West Nyack Contractor Took Payment, Didn't Do Work In Ramapo, DA Says
WEST NYACK, N.Y. -- A West Nyack contractor was charged with grand larceny after taking a Ramapo woman's money to pave her driveway and then not doing the work, according to the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.
Markeen Coursar, 42, who operates C&M Paving, took $2,800 from the woman to pave her driveway and then failed to perform the work or give her a refund, said District Attorney Thomas Zugibe.

HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- Art lovers will want to check out the area's creative and talented artists during a special fundraising event on Sunday, Nov. 20, to benefit the Haverstraw RiverArts.

Man, 24, Driving Erratically In Yorktown Was Drunk, Police Say
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Yorktown Heights man was charged with drunk driving after being stopped for driving erratically on Wednesday, according to Yorktown Police.
Stephen F. Meyer, Jr., 24, was arrested after an officer saw him swerving on the roadway, crossing the double yellow line and driving onto the shoulder of the road around 3:30 a.m. on Crompond Road, police said.
