Police Apprehend Garnerville Man In Ramapo Driveway Assaults
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Garnerville man has been charged with the recent assaults of two local women in their driveways, according to Ramapo Police Chief Brad Weidel.
Adrian Valentin-Polanco 28, was arrested in connection with the two attacks that occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 1, on Carmen Court, in Chestnut Ridge and Thursday, Nov. 3, on Olympia Lane in Monsey. Both incidents occurred between the hours of 8:30 and 10 p.m., Weidel said.
The women, who had been approached from behind after arriving home from different locations, were attacked as soon as they got out of their vehicles, Weidel said.

John F. Hughes, 60, Yonkers Native
John F. Hughes Jr., 60, a Yonkers native, died Friday, Nov. 4.
The son of John F. and the late Simone Hughes, he lived in Hyde Park and was formerly of Carmel.
Huges Jr., worked as an aide at the Hudson Valley Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie.
He is survived by his father, and his brother William Hughes, both of Carmel. He was predeceased by his mother and his sister, Patricia Hughes.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac with interment following at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel.

Jill Anne Pennelle, 32, Of Pawling
PAWLING, N.Y. -- Jill Anne Pennelle, 32, of Pawling, died on Friday, Oct. 28,, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born in White Plains on July 6, 1984, Pennelle, was the youngest daughter of Peter Pennelle and Linda Pennelle (Carrozza).
She is survived by her parents and her three sisters and brothers-in-law's including Teresa (Chris) Robinson; Lisa (Scott) Seifert, and Kelli (Chuck) Miller. She also has three nieces Kayla and Riley Miller and Ashley Robinson.
Her family described her as a warm hearted, compassionate, brave and fierce woman.
