Fairfield Day Care Owner Pleads Not Guilty In Death Of Shelton Baby FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The woman accused in the death of a 4-month-old Shelton infant staying at her Fairfield day care, pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges of second-degree manslaughter, according to the Connecticut Post. Carol Cardillo, also pleaded not guilty in Superior Court to charges of reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor and asked for a jury trial.
