North Salem's Summit Farm Trains Horse Of Year Winner
NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Hayley Hewitt of New Canaan, Conn., and her pony Splash of Color, or "Lexi," who train in North Salem, recently won the prestigious award of Horse of the Year in the Eastern States Exposition in the Children's Hunter-Pony Small/Medium division in West Springfield, Mass.
The show is a recognized United States Hunter Jumper Association event, said Ashley Yozzo, owner of Summit Farms in North Salem where Hewitt trains.

Dover Road Reopens To Traffic
DOVER, N.Y. -- Ridge Road in Dover, which has been closed for construction, has re-opened, according to the Dutchess County Department of Public Works.
The roadway, which average 550 vehicles a day, had been closed to realign the roadway and replace bridge D-32 over Coopertown Brook.
Motorists will continue to see ongoing work over the next several weeks including the installation of permanent guide rail, removal of the old bridge, grading work along the old roadbed and bridge site, as well as miscellaneous clean-up work that may result in one-lane traffic patterns for limited period, but w…
Dannon Explores Move To White Plains From Greenburgh, Report Says
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Dannon company is considering moving their corporate headquarters and other services to White Plains and has approached the city for a zoning change at the former Fortunoff department store, according to lohud.com.
A Dannon spokesman confirmed the company was exploring the move, but that nothing had been finalized, said lohud.com.
Currently, the company corporate headquarters, at 100 Underhill Ave. in Greenburgh, has more than 300 employees. If they make the move to White Plains, the company would lease approximately 80,000 square feet of the four-story building loca…
