Day Unveils Stringent 2017 County Budget With $1/Month Tax Increase NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Rockland County residents will only receive $1 a month tax increase next year if Rockland County Executive Ed Day's proposed 2017 budget is approved by the legislature. Lentini, 19, who rented a room from Michael Wimbert in West Nyack, a retired music teacher, after seeing a Craigslist ad for a gay roommate, was accused of stabbing him multiple times, according to lohud.com. Ramapo Police Nab Couple With Heroin, Other Drugs RAMAPO, N.Y. --  Ramapo Police arrested two Pennsylvania residents on drug charges Thursday after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle, according to Ramapo Det. Sgt. Brian Corbett. Rylee Smyth, 24, of Hawley, Pa., and Christopher Guglielmino, 22, of Tafton, Pa., were arrested after police responded to the report on Inwood Drive in the Hillcrest area around 3 p.m., police said.  During an investigation, police found the couple were in possession of 20 grams of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine, Corbett said.  Smyth and Guglielmino were charged with felony criminal possession of a co…

During the search, troopers seized two marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, and a small quantity of marijuana inside the home, state police said.
