Suspicious Items Reported At Supermarket, Park In New City NEW CITY, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Sheriff's Office received a report Thursday morning that a suspicious backpack had been found unattended on a picnic bench at Kennedy-Dells Park, causing a lockdown of a nearby community center, said Sheriff Louis Falco. Officers from the Sheriff’s Office and the Clarkstown Police secured the area and placed the neighboring Street School Community Center in lockdown as a precaution.
