Rhinebeck Teen Pleads Guilty In Hit & Run Crash Death RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- A Rhinebeck teen charged with criminally negligent homicide, pleaded guilty to the death of Dylan Feller on Thursday in Dutchess County Court, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Brandon A. Riccobono, 18, was charged in the 2015 hit-and-run death of Feller, 20, of Clinton Corners. He was sentenced to two years in the Dutchess County Jail, said the Poughkeepsie Journal. Ramapo Motorist Misses Driveway, Hits Fire Hydrant RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo Police officers were on the scene of a one-car accident on Wednesday when a local driver hit a fire hydrant, according to the Ramapo Police Department.The driver of the van was turning into a driveway when she failed to negotiate the turn properly and struck the fire hydrant, police said. Police said the vehicle became hung-up on the hydrant and had to be towed off. The water company responded to the scene, inspected the hydrant, and reported that it was undamaged and fully operational.

Peekskill Woman Charged With Stealing Jacket, Handbag At JV Mall YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Peekskill woman was nabbed for with shoplifting from the Sears store on Lee Boulevard on Monday, according to the Yorktown Police. Nicole Troche, 20, was charged with stealing after officers were called to store for a report of a shoplifter in custody. When officers arrived they learned that Troche had stolen a jacket and a handbag valued at $59, police said. Troche was processed and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Danbury Man, 55, Charged In Sex Abuse Of 11-Year-Old Boy DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury man has been charged with the sexual abuse of an 11-year-old boy for an incident that took place in July, according to Danbury Police Det. Lt. Christian Carroccio.Baltazar Lopez, 55, was arrested on Thursday following an investigation by the department's Special Victims Unit, said Carrocccio. The investigation was initiated after the department received a complaint on July 18 involving the sexual abuse of the 11-year-old male, said Carroccio. Lopez was picked up without incident and is currently being held at the Danbury Police Department on $200,000 bond.

Pedestrian, 22, Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Hyde Park HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car along Route 9 in Hyde Park at 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. A preliminary investigation into the accident has revealed that Anthony Jennings, 22, was walking along Route 9 when he was struck by a vehicle near the Culinary Institute of America, police said.
