Beacon Police Search For Suspect Who Shot, Killed 25-Year-Old BEACON, N.Y. -- Beacon police detectives are searching for a suspect in the Monday evening shooting death of a 25-year-old man. Police responded to the South Davies Terrace area at 9:30 p.m., after receiving a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found the unidentified man who had been shot, police said. He was taken to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, where he later died. U Pay" campaign designed to crack down on texting and distracted drivers. During the two weeks of the enforcement initiative, officers conducted 158 motor vehicle stops, which resulted in 107 tickets, and three drug related arrest, police said.
