Brookfield Police Hand Out 107 Tickets To Texting, Distracted Drivers
BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- Brookfield police made more than 158 stops during their recent "U Text. U Drive. U Pay" campaign designed to crack down on texting and distracted drivers. During the two weeks of the enforcement initiative, officers conducted 158 motor vehicle stops, which resulted in 107 tickets, and three drug related arrest, police said.

Nyack Woman Assaults Man, Attempts To Flee With His Car, Police Say
PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- A Nyack woman was picked up by police on a variety of charges after she was accused of breaking into a Pearl River home and attacking a man inside.Marissa L. Castie, 36, entered the home Thursday, attacked the man inside, causing cuts on his face and hands, stole his vehicle and attempted to flee the area, according to the Orangetown Police Department.
When stopped by Orangetown police a short time later, Castie was found with a white rock substance alleged to be crack cocaine, police said.

Bridgeport Residents Indicted On Charges Of Sex Trafficking Of Minor
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Two Bridgeport residents have been charged with sex trafficking of a minor by a federal grand jury in New Haven. Darryl Morris, also known as "King Sincere," 32, and Neshaya Dozier, 26, were detained after the indictment, which alleges between November 2014 and May 2016, the two worked together, sometimes using force, to bring young women to Bridgeport and the surrounding area to work as prostitutes, according to Deirdre M. Daly, United States attorney for Connecticut.
