Putnam Landmark Restaurant Red Rooster Burglarized SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- A popular ice cream and burger drive-in was found burglarized Sunday, July 31, when employees arrived for work, state police said. Thieves forced open a back door at the Red Rooster Drive-In on Route 22, and damaged the cash registers to get at the money inside, according to New York State Trooper Melissa McMorris. An undisclosed amount of money was taken. McMorris said anyone who may have witnessed anything unusual at the restaurant should contact state police at 845-677-7300. The Spring Valley Police Department reported the boy received injuries to his lower body and was treated by Hatzola Emergency Services before he was transported to Nyack Hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.
