Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $449M For Tonight's Drawing With no winner in last Saturday's drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow.  The jackpot is a whopping $449 million (or $313 million in cash) for Tuesday's drawing. The numbers will be picked at 11 p.m. tonight. It’s the biggest prize in the game since Dec. 17, 2013, when two tickets (sold in California and Georgia) shared a $648 million jackpot. The jackpot has been rolling since March 8 when a man in Washington state won at $157 million. Police Searching For Man Who Attached ATM Skimmer RONDOUT, N.Y. -- Ulster Police are investigating an ATM skimmer complaint that occurred at the Rondout Savings Bank last week.The skimming device was attached to the key pad at approximately 2:00 p.m., by a tall, skinny, white male wearing a navy blue “puffy” vest, and a black, white and red FILA truckers’ hat.  Officers are asking resident for help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Detective Division of the Ulster Police Department at 845-382-1111.

Teen West Point Cadet Dies Saving Swimmer On Long Island Beach WEST POINT, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old West Point cadet died four days after saving another swimmer from a rip current at Southampton Beach on Long Island, according to multiple reports. Thomas Surdyke, of Missouri, was enjoying a day at the beach with a fellow cadet when he and another person were swept out to sea by a rip current last Friday. The other person couldn't swim.
