Chappaqua Student's Artwork Selected For National AP Exhibit CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Local high school artist Julia Lubarsky of Chappaqua, has been selected to exhibit her artwork at the National AP Art Exhibit.  More than 50,000 students submitted 250,000 works. Lubarsky's work was one of 30 pieces selected. The show will travel to various locations across the United States as well as be available on-line in July.

Croton-On-Hudson Firefighters Run Drills CROTON-ON-THE-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Members of the Croton-On-Hudson Fire Department recently took part in a department drill that simulated a residential structure fire.During the drill, firefighters rotated through five different scenarios simulating a residential structure fire. The crews took turns as the primary and secondary search teams, fire attack team and placing ladders.  The drill was run by Deputy Chief Gerald Munson, former Capt. D. Ferguson and Engineer Altamura. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill into law Thursday that will give the state greater oversight over the troubled East Ramapo school district and provides an additional $3 million to restore programs that were cut, such as full-day kindergarten and extracurricular activities.
