Stamford Woman Sentenced For Stealing Grandmother's Life Savings
STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford woman has been sentenced to three years in jail for stealing her grandmother's entire life savings, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Heather Gansel, 38, a chiropractor and fitness club owner, was found guilty of first-degree larceny during a trial in October for stealing more than $400,000 from her grandmother, said the Stamford Advocate.
The money was supposed to be split between Gansel's uncle and her mother following her grandmother's death, but Gansel spent about $20,000 of the money every month until only $96 was left, the Stamford Advocate reported. H…
