Police Arrest Drunken Driver At Newtown Car Wash NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A local woman was charged with drunk driving while having her car washed at a Newtown car wash, police said.Nanci Louise Kalas, 63, was arrested when police were called to the Newtown Car Wash for a report of a possible drunk driver. When Newtown police arrived, they found Kalas under the influence, police said. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license. She was released on $500 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 13.
