Bethel Municipal Center To Close Thursday For Electrical Upgrades BETHEL, Conn. -- Bethel's Municipal Center will close early on Thursday, April 21 for upgrades and maintenance to the center's electrical system, according to WLAD.com. The center will close at 3 p.m. and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. All evening activities are cancelled for Thursday, said WLAD.com.

Jason Adams, 46, an eighth-grade science teacher who has a valid pistol permit, was arrested after a Newtown Middle School employee told security personnel that Adams appeared to have a weapon concealed under his clothing, according to police.  The teacher was immediately detained and charged with possession of a weapon on school property, a felony offense.
