Brookfield Begins Payment To Bury Power Lines At Four Corners
BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- As part of the planned streetscape improvements to the Four Corners area of Brookfield, city officials will pay Eversource $196,000 to find out how much it would cost to move utility lines underground, according to NewsTimes.
Although relocating the lines was not part of the original plan, First Selectman Steve Dunn told NewsTimes that doing so would increase property values and add to the design that includes sidewalks, new parking spaces, street lighting and other improvements, said NewsTimes.

Orangetown Police Charge Two In Domestic Dispute
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Two people were arrested by Orangetown Police following an alleged domestic disputeThursday at the Best Western motel in Nyack, police said.
Police said when officers arrived at the hotel, they found Justin Johnson, 41, of Spring Valley, and Danielle Jean, 26, of Nayck, in the parking lot, both with injuries they had received during a fight with each other.

New Canaan Woman Charged With DWI Following Crash
NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A New Canaan woman was charged with drunken driving after police said she crashed her car, which then caught fire, on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.
According to police, Susan Higgins, 51, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to keep right on a curve/hill, following the accident on West Road near Turtleback Road. By the time firefighters arrived, the car was fully engulfed in flames on the side of the road, said the Stamford Advocate.
