Authorities are searching for the men who can be seen politely wiping their shoes as they enter New Jersey smoke shop then brawling with the clerk, robbing him of $2,000 in merchendise, police said. It happened Monday, Oct. 16 around 10:45 p.m. at the Smokey Bear Smoke Shop on 255 Main St., in Hackettstown. All five suspects worked together to carry out the robbery and take nearly $2,000 in merchandise, Hackettstown police said. Video shows the men brawling with the clerk outside. Propane Tank Caused Home Explosion That Killed 45-Year-Old Jersey Shore Man: Prosecutor
A propane tank is to blame for the home explosion that killed a 45-year-old Jersey Shore man on Tuesday, Oct. 31, authorities said. Kevin Thomas, 45, was found on his front lawn of 253 Neptune Dr., with serious burns, and airlifted to Temple Burn Center in Philadelphia after the explosion that turned into a fire ravaged his house, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. A man suspected of abducting a woman then fleeing from deputies is in custody after a a pursuit through both Loudoun and Fairfax counties, authorities said. Around 1:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) got a call from a citizen reporting what they believed to have been an abduction in progress, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. Shake Shack is making moves to add another northern Virginia outpost to its fleet. The fast-food joint popular for its crinkle-cut fries and burgers has filed a permit application for a location complete with an outdoor patio at the Gateway Promenade Plaza in Gainesville, a representative tells Daily Voice. Police ID Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Montclair
Police in Montclair have identified the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle over the weekend. Vivian Folkenflik, 83, of the Township, was struck at Bellevue Avenue and Park Street around 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti said. Folkenflik was transported to Mountainside Medical Center and pronounced dead at 1 p.m. The driver remained at the scene. Teen Dad Faces Murder Charge In Death Of Infant Son, Cops In Virginia Say
A 19-year-old Virginia dad is accused of killing his infant son, authorities said. Dallas Bowling, of Stafford, is facing charges of second-degree murder and felony child abuse, Stafford Sheriff David Decatur said. Authorities said only that Bowling's 3-month-old son was found unresponsive on Richland Road around 12:25 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. "Nightmare" is the word police in one Virginia county used to describe the incidents that unfolded Friday, Oct. 27, in a high-speed pursuit they say was led by a 27-year-old driver.
