I-81 Tractor Trailer Crash Jams Traffic In Rockingham County For Miles A tractor trailer crash on I-81 had traffic piled up in Rockingham County on Monday afternoon, Sept. 18. The crash happened in the northbound lanes at mile marker 247.1 just before Exit 247A, the VDOT website said. The north left shoulder and left lane are closed. 5-Year-Old Child, Woman Struck By Car In Newark A 5-year-old child and a woman were hospitalized after being struck by a car in Newark. It happened around 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Grafton Avenue and Broadway, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The victims were transported to University Hospital for evaluation of complaints of pain and both are reportedly in stable condition.
