Man Shot, Suspect Detained: Gloucester Township: Police A person was shot in Gloucester Township early Monday morning, July 21, authorities said. At 5:33 a.m., officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim on Brookshire Road and found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right leg and blunt force trauma to the head, Gloucester Township police said. Denville's Michele Parkins, Tireless Advocate For Kids, ID'd As Bicyclist Struck, Killed Michele Parkins, a 46-year-old Denville resident and founder of Great Kids Place, was killed on Thursday, July 17, after she was hit by a car while riding her bike, authorities said.  The crash occurred on Old Boonton Road near Bush Road, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said. Parkins was transported to St. Clare’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said. Elizabeth Truck Driver Killed in NJT Crash In Edison: Njsp A 26-year-old Elizabeth man was killed in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Edison early Sunday morning, July 20, authorities said. At 4:12 a.m., Mairon Gonzalez-Ramirez was driving a Freightliner M2 north on the New Jersey Turnpike in Edison when he lost control, overturned and struck a guardrail, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
