Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Bay Ave. in Barnegat Township around 3 p.m. on reports of an overturned kayaker, unconfirmed reports say. Phillip R. Baines was not in a crosswalk when he was hit around 7:20 p.m. by a pair of eastbound cars that had a green light near the intersection with Woodward Road, authorities said. Jarian Adams, 40, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine in an amount greater than one-half ounce with intent to distribute, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Four Arrested On Gun, Drug Charges In Ocean Township Four Ocean Township residents were charged with gun, alcohol and drug-related charges on Monday. The arrests took place on Deal Road at about 8:39 p.m., police said. Ocean Township Officer Dean Schoch performed a motor vehicle stop near State Highway 18. NJ Lottery Ticket Winner Sold In Ocean County Two lucky New Jersey lottery tickets matched all five numbers drawn, splitting the $140,108 Saturday's Jersey Cash 5 jackpot. Each winning ticket is worth $70,054. One of them was sold at the 91 Exit Farmer Market on Lanes Mill Road in Brick Township. The winning numbers were 05, 09, 14, 23 and 24 and the XTRA number was 03.  The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning tickets.  The second winning ticket was sold at the Sicklerville BP station in Williamstown. Brick Man Faces 4 Years In Prison For Possession Of Cocaine, Painkillers A Brick Township man faces at least four years in prison on multiple drug charges including possession of cocaine and painkillers, authorities said. Carlos Sanchez, 40, of Brick pled guilty to possession of multiple drugs with intent to distribute on Friday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
