Indian Point Unit 3 Will Shut Down For Maintenance BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- Indian Point 3 Nuclear Facility will shut down its reactor for planned maintenance on Monday evening, according to a statement released by Entergy.Crews will replace two water seals that sit between the lid of the reactor and the reactor vessel. Roy McLaughlin, who died on Sept. 10 from a 9-11 related illness, with an Inspectors funeral at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church on Monday.  McLaughlin, 38, was a member of the Yonkers Police force for more than 17 years.
