PTA Activist Fills Opening On Ridgefield School Board RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Longtime Ridgefield PTA leader Frances Walton was elected to a seat on the school board, according to the Ridgefield Press.  The Board of Education voted unanimously to have Walton fill the vacant seat, which became available after Irene Burgess handed in her resignation, the Ridgefield Press reported.
