Two Poughkeepsie Residents Make False Medicaid Claims, State AG Says
Two Poughkeepsie residents, along with a Highland Mills resident, have been charged with submitting more than $50,000 in false home health-care claims to Medicaid, New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman announced Wednesday.
The arrests come at the conclusion of two separate investigations into the same scam involving Tina Gabel, 58, and Sean Gabel, 23, of Poughkeepsie, and Enny Portillo, 58, of Highland Mills, Schneiderman said.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Jeffrey Bennett, 22, of Poughkeepsie, die unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 5.
Born in Poughkeepsie on Dec. 21, 1993, Bennett was a lifelong Hopewell Junction resident who was very active with the East Fishkill Soccer Club and enjoyed snowboarding.
Bennett was a 2012 graduate of John Jay High School where he was on the varsity soccer team and track team. He was currently a junior at SUNY Albany.
Known for his big smile, Bennett was admired for his competitive nature that made him successful academically and on the field.
