Kent Man Damages Victim's RV, Pushes Him To Ground During Fight, Police Say KENT, N.Y. -- A Kent man found himself behind bars after getting into an argument with another man on Thursday, Nov. 24, according to the Kent Police Department. Jeffrey Oakes, 47, was charged with assault and criminal mischief after pushing another 60-year-old Kent resident to the ground, causing lacerations to his body and damaging his recreational vehicle, police said. Oakes is being held at the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5.
