Yonkers Man Charged In Domestic Dispute YONKERS, N.Y. -- A 40-year-old Yonkers man was charged with criminal contempt in connection with a domestic dispute outside a home on Hibiscus Circle in Beekman, police said. Shane Perkins was arrested after a Good Samaritan called 911 when she saw Perkins yelling at a woman around 8:12 p.m. Sept. 10, and then dragged the victim by her hair toward a wooded area, according to New York State Police. Man, Woman Charged After 32 Bags Of Heroin, Crack Found In Beacon BEACON, N.Y. -- Two Hudson Valley residents were charged with possession of drugs after Beacon Police officers found crack cocaine and heroin during a traffic stop. Dean Nelson, 41, and Stacie Towles, 46, of Newburgh were busted after officers smelled marijuana during the stop and discovered that Towles, the driver, had an active bench warrant for her arrest, said Beacon Police Chief Douglas Solomon. Investigation Continues Into Unusual Fatal Accident In Sherman SHERMAN, Conn. -- The name of a New Milford man killed Saturday in an unusual accident in Sherman has not been released by Connecticut State Police as they continue their investigation, according to WLAD.com. The 21-year-old man was killed when he tried to stop his vehicle from rolling down a steep driveway and was caught under the vehicle at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Atchison Cove Road, said WLAD.com. Route 306 Closed In Ramapo For Tractor-Trailer Fuel Spill RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A tractor-trailer leaking diesel fuel has prompted the closure of Route 306 at Grandview Avenue so Rockland County hazmat teams can respond to the area for cleanup, said Ramapo police Sgt. C. Edwards. "At this point, the fuel is leaking, not gushing from the truck," Edwards said.
