Retired Paterson Priest Of Haledon Finds New Calling As Therapist, Artist
HALEDON, N.J. -- Father Louis Scurti of Haledon loves families -- his church family, his own family, and the families he counsels as a licensed marriage and family therapist.The retired priest, who has a Ph.D as a therapist, still works delivering homilies and with parishioners, constantly is on the move and loves every minute of his life.

Rockland Pride Finds New Home In Nyack
NYACK, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Pride Center made a huge purchase on Sept. 7 -- a building in Nyack that will serve as the organization's new home at 28 S. Franklin St.
The 7,500-square-foot-building, the former home of the Nyack Elks Lodge, is just steps away from public transportation, shops and restaurants.

Putnam County Announces Fall Flu Clinics
PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- It’s official -- the 2016-2017 flu season is here -- and that means its time to get that flu shot.To help make sure residents have access to the shot, the Putnam County Department of Health (PCDOH) has scheduled three fall vaccine clinics and their nurses are ready to immunize residents.
Two clinics will run from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, and Monday, Oct. 24, at the Carmel Fire Department, Route 52 and Vink Drive.
Another will take place from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Garrison Fire Department, 1616 Route 6.
