McDuffie, 27, was reported missing Aug. 19 after she failed to pick up her two children from their grandmother's house in Stamford, Conn. Her body was found a week later dumped in Seton Falls Park in the Bronx, just over the border from Mount Vernon. Yonkers Woman Traveling 96 MPH On I-87 Charged With Leandra's Law DWI A Westchester woman driving drunk at speeds up to 96 mph on Interstate 87 was charged under Leandra's Law for having her 11-year-old child in the car with her on Saturday, Aug. 28, according to state police. Veronica Montalvo, 42, of Yonkers was stopped by state police after they spotted her flying down the interstate. A blood test following the stop, showed she was driving with a blood alcohol limit over twice the legal limit at 0.18 percent, police said. Mount Vernon Firefighters Extinguish Warehouse Blaze After 2 Days MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- After two days of battling a warehouse fire, Mount Vernon firefighters were able to wrap things up about 6 p.m. Friday, according to Deputy Chief Edward Stevenson. More than 50 firefighters responded to battle the blaze that broke out early Thursday morning at the Westside Party Rentals at 200 S. 13th Ave. "It's been a long two days," Stevenson said.
