Newsweek Ranks Six Westchester High Schools Among Nation's Top 500 WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Six high schools in Westchester County were ranked among the best in the nation according to Newsweek's list of top 500 high schools this year. Schools are ranked using everything from achievement information, like standardized test results and SAT and ACT scores to students' college readiness. State Police Search For Fugitive Wanted On DWI Charge In Westchester TARRYTOWN, N.Y. --- New York State Police from the Tarrytown barracks are asking for the public's help in locating a local man wanted on an arrest warrant for drunk driving. According to the state police, Terence Srikishun, 43, was pulled over in June 2014, on the New York State Thruway. Two Still In Critical Condition After Fatal Poughkeepsie Lightning Strike POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. --Two of the five people who were struck by lightning in Mansion Square Park that killed one person Friday afternoon are still in critical condition, but improving at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Five Injured After Apparent Lightning Strike In Poughkeepsie Park POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Five people have been injured, three critically, from an apparent lightning strike late Friday afternoon in Mansion Square Park following a thunderstorm.The city's 911 call center received calls reporting people struck by lightning around 4:20 p.m., according to City of Poughkeepsie Detective Lt.
