Poughkeepsie Teens Apprehended With Guns
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Five City of Poughkeepsie teens were nabbed with two loaded handguns and marijuana on Thursday, after being stopped by police on Mill Street.
The teens, traveling in a blue Ford Mustang, were stopped for traffic and vehicle violations, said Detective Lt. Matt Clark.
During the stop, officers found a small amount of marijuana and two loaded handguns, police said.

Serial Hudson Valley Bank Robbery Suspect Strikes Again
A fourth bank robbery on Tuesday, Aug. 2, in Wallkill may be the work of a serial bank robber who walks up to the teller and demands money, then calmly walks out, according to News 12.
The latest robbery took place at 10 a.m. at the Chase Bank branch in Orange County. Police said the suspect walked into the bank and passed the teller a note demanding money and that he had a gun, said News 12.

Female Visitor Entered Sing Sing With Drugs, Police Say
OSSINING, N.Y. -- A visitor to Sing Sing Correctional Facility was caught trying to smuggle drugs to an inmate she was visiting, according to New York State Police.
Lacieta S. Winfield, 32, of Roosevelt in Nassau County, was charged Tuesday with promoting prison contraband, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana, police said.
According to Trooper Melissa McMorris, Winfield entered Sing Sing to visit an inmate, and officers found she was carrying marijuana, crack cocaine, and buprenorphine hydrocloride.
