Pleasant Valley Man Charged In Burglaries Of Two Businesses PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. -- A Pleasant Valley man was arrested in connection with commercial burglaries in Pleasant Valley and Poughkeepsie, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. According to police, Jason D. Garrett, 21, was charged for breaking into the Village Restaurant in Pleasant Valley, and the Valero gas station on Main Street in Poughkeepsie on June 28.  Both businesses had been forcibly entered. Police said that the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad discovered that Charles Whitfield, 53, was selling cocaine out of his Pequot Drive apartment and obtained a search warrant, said the Advocate.
