Free Concerts, Outdoor Dance Parties Coming to Downtown New Rochelle
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- If it's summer, then it's time to put on some dancing shoes and groove to the sounds of music at four free concerts during "BID Music on the Green," in New Rochelle, courtesy of the Downtown Business Improvement District.The dance parties, made possible with the BID, the New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department and the New Rochelle Public Library, take place at Ruby Dee Park on Library Green at 7 p.m. beginning July 21, and continue each Thursday until August 11.

Bridgeport Man Charged With Repeatedly Raping 13-Year-Old Girl
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man has been arrested for repeatedly raping a 13-year-old girl whose family had recently moved from El Salvador, according to the Connecticut Post.
William Mejia-Alas, 29, told police he considered himself a father figure to the girl, who is seven and half months pregnant. When first confronted, Mejia-Alas denied the rapes, saying the girl asked for sex, said the Connecticut Post.
He was charged with first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child and is being held on $100,000 bond.

Thefts of Range Rovers In Greenwich Includes Tommy Hilfiger's
GREENWICH, Conn. -- More than 16 vehicles, mostly Range Rovers and high-end luxury cars, have been stolen in Greenwich since the beginning of the year, including Tommy Hilfiger's, according to Greenwich Time.
Hilfiger’s $130,000 Rover was stolen June 29, police told Greenwich Time. In most cases, the cars were unlocked and the keys or fobs were inside, police told Greenwich Time.
The news first broke last week, when Hilfiger told a Page Six columnist about the theft saying video surveillance showed a group of men in hoods stealing the vehicle, said Greenwich Time.
