Police Searching For Killer Of Young Mother In 1990 Norwalk Cold Case
NORWALK, Conn. -- Early in the morning on Aug. 23, 1990, a young Norwalk girl heard her mother screaming and saw a man run from their home, police said. Moments later she found her mother lying bleeding on a mattress on the floor.Because their home phone was broken, the 8-year-old girl ran next door, police said. As the neighbor performed CPR on her mother, Evelyn Colon, 28, the daughter called police and cried for help just after 2 a.m., police said.

Easton Teen Critical Following Accident In Redding
EASTON, Conn. -- An Easton teen is in critical condition after being thrown from a car on Cross Highway during a traffic accident last night in Redding.
According to Redding police, the teen, who appeared to not be wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the car when the driver, a 17-year-old Easton resident, lost control of the vehicle around 10:30 p.m.
The car traveled into the woods and down an embankment, a police press release said.
Another passenger, a 16-year-old Fairfield teen, and the driver, received minor injuries.

Video Of Bridgeport Scooter Crash Released
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A video has been released showing a crash that left Luis Colon, 20, of Bridgeport in critical condition, after he was hit by a car after running a stop sign on June 22.
According to Av Harris, communications director for Bridgeport, Colon was traveling east on Pearl Street on a 2012 Kwang Yang motor scooter when he ran the stop sign and struck a 2015 Kia Optima driven by Donald Brown, 58, of Bridgeport.
Colon, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the scooter into the roadway.
He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he is listed in critical condition …
