Bridgeport Man Charged With Negligent Homicide In Pedestrian's Death BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 26-year-old Bridgeport man has been charged in with negligent homicide in the death of a local woman hit and killed by a car earlier this year while crossing the street, according to Connecticut News 12. Jerry Goncalves, who was driving on a suspended license, sped up at a red light when he hit and killed 31-year-old Sandra Vilsaint near Elizabeth Street and Barnum Avenue on Feb. 10, News12 said. Bridgeport Brothers Charged With Distributing Heroin In Monroe Death BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Two Bridgeport brothers have been arrested in connection with the heroin overdose death of a Monroe man and a non-fatal heroin overdose in Bridgeport. Police Issue Silver Alert For Missing 15 Year Old Stamford Twins STAMFORD, Conn. -- State police have issued a silver alert for two 15-year-olds twins from Stamford who are missing following a custody dispute with one of the parents, according to the Stamford Advocate. Port Chester Refuses To Rehire Eight Fired Firefighters PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Eight Port Chester paid firefighters remain without jobs even through Mayor Dennis Pilla changed his mind during a recent meeting and voted to reinstate the firefighters, according to Lohud.com. Officials, Family Continue Search For Missing Suffern Girl SUFFERN, N.Y. -- It's been years since anyone has seen Samantha Kibalo, who disappeared from Suffern in January 2001 with her mother, Ann Yermak Kibalo, who did not have custody of the girl. Kibalo's estranged husband had been awarded custody of their daughter after their divorce. Man Faces DUI Charge After Speeding Past Trumbull Officer TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Branford man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he allegedly sped past an on-duty Trumbull police officer on Route 8 on June 15, according to the Trumbull Times.
