New Canaan Considers Proposed Large Development NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan Planning and Zoning Commission will soon consider a proposed plan for a large development featuring 122 apartments and condominiums on Maple and Park Streets, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. If approved, the plan would include two four-story buildings with rental apartments and two four-story condominiums. Brookfield Student Charged With Making School Bomb Threat BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- A female student at Brookfield High School was arrested on charges of writing a bomb threat on a bathroom wall nine months ago, causing the school to be evacuated, according to the News-Times. The unidentified girl turned herself into police after a warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace, said the News-Times.
