Cuomo Picks South Nyack's Favored Tappan Zee Bridge Path SOUTH NYACK, N.Y. -- The debate is finally over with the selection by Gov. Andrew Cuomo of Alternative F as the chosen path for the new Tappan Zee Bridge's biking and walking path, according to Lohud.com. Alternative F, the choice of South Nyack residents and leaders, includes a connection to the Esposito Trail, closes the on-ramp to the northbound Thruway at South Broadway and moves the access to Route 9W, said Lohud.com. Stratford Town Council Schedules Special Election For Oct. 13 STRATFORD, Conn. -- Stratford Town Council members voted unanimously to set Thursday, Oct. 13 as the date residents will cast their votes for open Town Council seats in Districts 2 and 5, according to the Stratford Star. The special election is to fill the seats left by Mark Dumas and Joe Gresko. Clinton Surges To Double-Digit Lead Over Trump In New Poll Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has a double-digit lead nationally over Republican candidate Donald Trump, shows a new Bloomberg Politics national poll. Newtown Parents Offer To Settle Lawsuit For $5.5 Million NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Two Newtown families who lost children during the Sandy Hook tragedy in which 20 school children and six educators lost their lives have offered to settle the wrongful-death lawsuit they filed against the town and the school district for $5.5 million each, according to the Connecticut Post.
