PELHAM, N.Y. -- Pelham's Sarah Jane O'Connor was treated to a visit with Assemblywoman Amy Paulin as the winner of the Paulin's "There Ought to Be a Law" contest. O’Connor, an eighth-grader at Pelham Middle School, was awarded first place for proposing that the state mandate insurance coverage for basic hearing aids. Greenwich Library Releases Results Of Community Survey
GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich residents love their local library and use it all the time. That's according to a recent survey conducted by the library in which 2,200 residents shared their views and ideas about services and priorities. The 2015 Survey revealed several key takeaways: Collections are of primary importance with 83 percent of respondents using the library to check out books or other materials. Rockland County Holds Candlelight Vigil In Honor Of Orlando Victims
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- As the heat simmers to above 100 degrees in Orlando and media trucks line the highway leading to the Pulse Nighclub, the site of the mass murder of 49 people, Rockland County Executive Ed Day has announced that the county will hold a candlelight vigil at 5 p.m., Wednesday to honor their memory. Two Warwick Men Charged With Raping Teenager
WARWICK, N.Y. -- Two Warwick men have been arrested on charges of raping a 17-year-old girl during a party in the Wickham Village development in May, according to TWC News. The men, Bryan Cameron, 27, and Devon Ramsey, 20, were charged with rape and criminal sexual act following an investigation into the reported rape, said TWC News. New Sign To Be Installed At Route 53/Newtown Turnpike In Redding
REDDING, Conn. -- New signage and markings will be added to the existing stop sign between Route 53 and the Newtown Turnpike intersection in Redding thanks to help from Rep.
