Andrew Cuomo's statewide campaign that includes a six-step action plan. Norwalk Reminds Pet Owners To Pick Up New Dog Licenses NORWALK, Conn. -- It's time for all Norwalk dogs to have their licenses renewed for 2016, according to the Norwalk Town Clerk.Last year, Norwalk issued a record 2,780 dog licenses. All these licenses must be renewed for 2016. Any new dogs over 6 months of age or currently unlicensed, should also register.  The 2016 dog licenses will be available June 1 in The Norwalk Town Clerk’s office. Connecticut Environmental Police Seek Info In Shooting Death Of Bear FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A black bear found dead in Roxbury was shot and killed, and Connecticut environmental officers are asking for help in solving the crime.According to the state Environmental Conservation police, the shooting happened on or about Wednesday, May 18, when Roxbury Town Hall began receiving complaints of a dead black bear on Roxbury Land Trust property adjacent to Upper County Road.  Officers dispatched to the area to investigate found and seized the bear's carcass for further investigation.  On Thursday, May 19, a necropsy was performed. Route 53 In Redding To Close For Construction Starting June 13 REDDING, Conn. -- Commuters should start planning now for a new route to work due to the complete closure of Route 53 in Redding beginning June 13, according to the Bethel Police Department.
