New Canaan School District To Renovate Central Office NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan School District will renovate its central office, which employees have called home for the past 24 years, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. The building at 39 Locust Ave., owned by FJL Holdings, has not seen any upgrades since 1992, the Advertiser. Renovations are estimated to cost $550,000, spread out over a 10 year timespan. Ridgefield Man Identified As Victim In Fatal Crash In Bethel BETHEL, Conn. -- David M. Wood of Ridgefield has been identified as the person killed May 16, when his car went off the road on Route 53 in Bethel, slammed in to a tree and burst into flames, according to News-Times. Wood, 24, of Mountain View Avenue, was driving near the Redding border when the accident occurred. Wood was pronounced dead later at Danbury Hospital, said News-Times.
