Newtown Police Arrest Man Driving Erratically On South Main Street
NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A New Milford man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence after he was stopped for driving erratically on South Main Street in Newtown, police said.According to police, William Hubric, 27, was arrested on April 30 after officers stopped him after a report of a driver not staying in their lane. Hubric was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right. He was transported to the Newtown Police Department and released on $250 bond with a court date of May 17 in Danbury Superior Court.

Work Begins On Wall Street Bridge Over Train Tracks In Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. — Commuters should take note that work has begun on the Wall Street bridge over the Metro North Railroad in Norwalk and that delays will should be expected, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.Temporary lane closures on Wall Street and River Street will occur weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Two detours will be required in the near future. Chappaqua Teen Receives Student Volunteer Award
CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua teen, Abby Nimetz, was recently recognized by the non-profit group Neighbors Link Northern Westchester with its Student Volunteer Award. Newtown Police Investigate Vandalism, Car Break-Ins
NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Officers responding to a report of vandalism on the Boulevard in Newtown found more than just damaged mailboxes when they responded, police said. A resident reported on April 30 that a mailbox had been knocked down, police said. But when officers arrived, they discovered that an unknown suspect or suspects had entered both the garage and a vehicle parked outside the residence. Rockland Unveils Results Of Yearlong Battle Against Slumlords
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Rockland County officials announced Monday that their yearlong battle against slumlords had paid off financially and forced the landlords to clean up their properties, according to lohud.com. Newtown Police Charge Driver With DUI After Crash Takes Out Utility Pole
NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A 24-year-old Newtown man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence after running off his car off the road and slamming into a utility pole, police said. The single-car accident occurred April 30 on Old Green Road when a car driven by James Bowers went off the road, hit a curb and struck the utility pole, causing the pole to fall on top of the car, police said.
