Greenwich Woman Hits Stone Wall, Faces DWI Charge GREENWICH, Conn. -- A Greenwich woman was charged with driving under the influence after she drove into a stone wall on Wednesday, according to Greenwich Time. Yanina LaChance, 42, was charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to Sound View Drive about the collision, said Greenwich Time. LaChance was also charged with failing to drive in lane. She was released on $2,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, May 19. Firefighters Douse Burning Car On Route 8 In Shelton SHELTON, Conn. -- The Huntington Fire Department and the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Co. responded to a car fire on Route 8 northbound near Exit 12 at about 2 a.m. Thursday, May 5. Firefighters were able to extinguish the burning car, but it was completely destroyed.  No one was injured during the incident. Crews remained on the scene until the vehicle could be removed. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
