Cyclist Suffers Injuries After Being Hit By Car In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. -- A cyclist, hit by a car Thursday on Main Street, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, according to News-Times. The accident occurred when the driver of a Mazda CX-9, hit the cyclist near the Palace Theater about 2:30 p.m. The victim, a man in his 20s, was lying about 20 feet from his bike when emergency crews arrived on the scene, said News-Times. Police are investigating the accident, it is not currently known if the driver will face charges, added News-Times. Click here to read the News-Times story.

Man Pawns Co-Worker's Lexus To Buy Drugs, Trumbull Police Say TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Trumbull police said that a West Haven man pawned his co-worker's Lexus for $600 to buy drugs, according to the Trumbull Times. Dean Federici, 48, was charged with third- and fourth-degree larceny after borrowing the car in February and failing to return it, said the Trumbull Times. Police discovered the car had been pawned after speaking with his mother and issued a warrant for his arrest. Federici turned himself in to police on April 29, added the Trumbull Times. State Police Arrest Two On Drug Charges After Pursuit, Crash On I-95 GREENWICH, Conn. — Two North Carolina men were arrested on drug charges after they fled at attempted traffic stop at over 100 mph on I-95 in Darien in a police pursuit that ended in a fiery crash in Greenwich on Wednesday, according to the Connecticut State Police.State Police said troopers attempted to stop a sliver Chevrolet Sonic on I-95 southbound near Exit 10, for following another vehicle too closely in an active construction zone. White Plains Flower Basket Damaged During Car Accident This story has been updated. WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The giant flower basket that brought beauty to the intersection at South Broadway and Armory Place for a decade was damaged Wednesday when it was struck by a car during an accident, according to lohud.com. The boat-sized flower vessel was created and donated to the City of White Plains by the all--volunteer White Plains Beautification Foundation in 1996. Westchester County Provides Free Minnows For Mosquito Control To help reduce the mosquito population in Westchester County, the Health Department is giving residents free fathead minnows to add to their backyard ponds and water features and free dunks for their birdbaths, rain barrels and unused pools. Residents with ponds who want the minnows should bring a bucket or pail to 2 Loop Road at the Westchester County Airport. The building is the first right from the airport access road. Get Mother's Day Flowers At Buchanan Plant Sale BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- The Beautification Committee of Buchanan plant sale in the Buchanan Circle on Saturday will be a chance to purchase Mother's Day flowers. During the sale, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., residents will be able to find plenty of Mother's Day baskets and flats. All proceeds from the event will go to purchasing plantings for the village.
