Weston Driver Charged With Leaving Scene Of Crash In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Weston man was charged with crashing his car and leaving the scene on Easton Road in October 2014, according to Westport police.Laurence Shore, 64, of Weston, was charged with leaving an accident scene and failure to grant right of way. The accident happened in October of 2014, but Shore had managed to evade police until late last month, according to police. 83-Year-Old Man Arrested For Passing Bad Checks In New Canaan NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- An elderly Weston man has been charged by New Canaan Police with writing more than $13,000 in bad checks to businesses in town, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. Frank Geiger, recently turned himself into New Canaan police on a warrant for writing the bad checks, the New Canaan Advertiser reported. Spilled Coffee Leads To Drug Arrest In Trumbull TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Spilled coffee landed a West Haven man in jail on drug possession charges outside the Dunkin' Donuts on Hawley Lane in Trumbull, according to the Trumbull Times. Police saw drugs in the man's waistband after his girlfriend spilled coffee on the front seat of the car and he leaned forward to help clean it up, according to the Times. He was arrested and charged with failure to keep drugs in original container, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics, added the Trumbull Times.
