Four Dutchess Residents Charged With Drug Possession After Search
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Four Poughkeepsie residents were arrested on drug charges following an investigations by the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team along with members of the State Police at Wappingers.
According to the state police, the narcotics investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant and raid at 49 Creek Road for suspicion of drug dealing. Hudson Valley Men Survive Small-Plane Crash
GREENWOOD LAKE, N.Y. -- Two men from the Hudson Valley survived a small-plane crash in a Long Island neighborhood after engine failure in the Piper PA-28-140 they were flying on Sunday, according to Westchester News 12.
Scott Clifford, 34, of Wallkill, and his passenger, Michael Rome, 66, of Greenwood Lake, suffered serious injuries, including broken legs and a head injury, during the crash that caused the plane to catch on fire. Police said good Samaritans saved their lives, said Westchester News 12.

Blue Boxes Help Tappan Zee Bridge Grow Taller Each Day
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- As the Tapan Zee Bridge grows taller each day, it's thanks to the blue boxes that are taking the structure from the water to the skies, according to lohud.com.
Called "jump forms," by the New York State Thruway Authority, the blue boxes, which will create the 419-foot towers, will be placed one by one until the towers are complete. Each box is 650 square feet and is built in two sections, exterior and interior. The exterior sections are added first, then the interior; they are tied together with rebar and concrete, said lohud.com.
