Suffern Man Charged With Criminal Possession Of Weapon SUFFERN, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old Suffern man was charged Tuesday, April 5 with criminal possession of a weapon by Suffern Police after being stopped for a traffic violation. According to police, an officer on patrol on Route 22 stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop, the unidentified man was found to be in possession of an illegal gravity knife.  He was placed under arrest and released on bail pending a future court date, police said.
