Former EMS Coordinator In Bridgeport Charged In Sexual Assault
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport Hospital officials said they were not aware of any wrongdoing by a former EMS coordinator after his arrest Friday, April 8, on charges of sexually assaulting four men and photographing others at the hospital’s nursing school, according to the Connecticut Post.
Barry Barkinsky, 62, of Franklin Street, Stamford, was charged with four counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and 10 counts of voyeurism, the Connecticut Post reported. He was released on $100,000 bond.

Team 26 Cyclists Riding From Sandy Hook To Capitol To Raise Awareness
NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Team 26, a group of cyclists from Newtown, and beyond, will embark Saturday, April 9, on its fourth ride from Sandy Hook to the U.S. Capitol to honor the 20 children and six educators killed on Dec.14, 2012, and to raise awareness of the nation’s gun violence epidemic. Team 26 will depart from Newtown’s Edmond Town Hall and their ride will take them through communities throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic and conclude at the U.S. Capitol, where they will urge Congress to finally pass commonsense legislation to reduce gun violence.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 26-year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested for assaulting three security guards Thursday after, police said, she was caught shoplifting from Victoria’s Secret in the Stamford Town Center mall, according to the Stamford Advocate.
