FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Metro-North Railroad's new timetables take effect on Sunday, April 3, with changes to improve performance in peak periods, accommodate track outages for infrastructure work, and make changes suggested by commuters. MONROE, Conn. -- Wild turkey hunters, especially first-time hunters, might be interested to attend an upcoming safety seminar offered by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection on Saturday, April 2 in Monroe.Presented by the department's Wildlife Division’s Conservation Education/Firearms Safety Program, the seminars will include safe hunting practices, specialized equipment, calls and decoys, site setup, strategies for harvesting turkeys, and turkey biology and management.
