PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Clay Art Center will kick off its exhibition "NY, NY: CLAY," curated by author and New York University professor Judith Schwartz on Sunday.
The exhibition, which runs through May 25, will showcase an eclectic representation of young, midcareer and mature artists, and can be viewed as a sampling of the work of those who live, work and build their careers in the urban environment of New York City.

Strong Winds Knock Down Tree In Yonkers, Leaving Hundreds Without Power
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Strong winds on Monday knocked over a tree in Yonkers, damaging power lines throughout the area and leaving hundreds without power Tuesday morning, according to lohud.com.The National Weather Service said the winds, as high as 50 mph, toppled the tree on Raymond Place in Yonkers, taking out a section of sidewalk before landing on top of a car. In addition, a wind warning has been issued for the Tappan Zee Bridge, along with a reduced speed of 45 mph, said lohud.com.
