FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A really lucky Fairfield County resident purchased a winning "Lucky for Life" second prize-winning ticket for the Thursday, March 24 drawing, said state lottery officials.The ticket, worth $25,000 a year -- every year -- for life, had the winning numbers 2-12-18-20-22 and the Lucky Ball was 12.
In Connecticut alone, there were a total of 14,586 lucky winners with prizes from $3 to “$25,000 a year for life” statewide.

Hundreds Attend Funeral Of Stamford Man Shot By Police
STAMFORD, Conn. -- More than 450 family and friends attended the Monday morning funeral of a Stamford man shot by police last week after he threatened them with a gun, according to the Stamford Advocate.
According to police, Dylan Pape, 25, was shot and killed on March 21 after they responded to a disturbance at his home on Wedgemere Road. Pape, threatening to harm himself or others, stepped outside his home with a gun, following an hour of negotiations, police said. He was shot by two SWAT team members, police said.

Eversource Performs Aerial Patrols in Trumbull-Monroe Area
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Eversource will perform aerial patrols on many of its transmission lines from Wednesday to Friday and from Monday, April 4, to Friday, April 8, to check the lines for excess vegetation.
Any adverse flying conditions will require rescheduling.
Areas that should expect the flyovers include Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Monroe, New Milford, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield.
