Armed Dog Abuser Leads 12.5-Mile Pursuit-Crash In Fairfax County: Police
A 30-year-old animal abuser was arrested after a 12.5-mile police pursuit in Fairfax County, authorities said. Daniel John Sol, of Lorton, approached a person walking their dog on the 9600 block of Eaton Woods Place in Lorton on Tuesday, Oct. 24, around 4 p.m., county police said. Sol picked up the dog and began shaking it, without provocation, police said. He fled the area but returned with a knife and threatened to stab the victim. Star Of HBO's 'Telemarketers' Pat Pespas Found Safe After Missing For Month Across NJ, PA
Patrick J. Pespas, who starred in HBO's "Telemarketers," has been found safe. Pespas, 55, of Phillipsburg, has been found safe and was home with his wife, Sue, directors Sam Lipman-Stern and Adam Bhala Lough said on Pespas' Instagram account Friday, Oct. 27. Pespas had been missing since Sept. 29, when he was seen in Easton, PA, and later at a bar in the Pittsburg area. The SEPTA driver shot and killed on his route Thursday, Oct. 26 was identified as Abington resident and Army veteran Bernard Gribbin. Fatal Motorcycle Pursuit-Crash Closes Route 30: PSP (

A motorcyclist crashed and died during a pursuit with Pennsylvania State Police in Chester County overnight, the agency said. Troopers began pursuing the motorcycle around 1:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, eastbound on the US 30 bypass when the 31-year-old motorcyclist got off the limited access highway at a high rate of speed, PSP Trooper James Grothey said. The motorcyclist lost control and struck the northbound metal guardrail on State Route 113, where he died. The incident remains under investigation. Three people died in a head-on crash involving a brand-new Dodge Challenger and taxi on Loudoun County Parkway Wednesday, Oct. 25, authorities said. A 2023 Dodge Challenger was heading north on the Parkway when he lost control near Shellhorn Road and struck a Toyota Sienna taxi head-on around 10:50 p.m., the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. All lanes were closed on the Commodore Barry Bridge due to a crash on Thursday evening, Oct. 26. According to the NJDOT website, it happened in the westbound lanes of the New Jersey side in Logan Township. The bridge was closed into Chester, PA, the DOT said.

Police have identified the subject who barricaded himself inside of a Stafford County home Thursday, Oct. 26 as a 31-year-old man wanted for violating probation. Guy Castonguay had warrants out for his arrest, when deputies learned he was on the 700 block of Edwards Drive in Grafton Village around 11 a.m., the sheriff's office said. A wanted suspect surrendered peacefully after barricading himself inside of a Stafford County home, police said. Deputies in Stafford County were notified that the suspect, whose name was not released, was in a home on Edwards Drive around 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, Major Shawn Kimmitz said. Deputies surrounded the home, but the man refused to leave. K9 and drone teams were called to the scene, and the man ultimately surrendered peacefully sometime around noon. Josue Gutierrez Of Chantilly Dies Suddenly, 18: 'Our Worlds Are Forever Changed'
A northern Virginia community is mourning the sudden loss of 18-year-old Josue Gutierrez. A high school senior in Chantilly, Josue died on Oct. 16 after battling depression, according to his obituary. Born in Honduras, Josue came to the U.S. at 14 years old. He was being remembered as a gifted artist who "could do amazing things with a pencil and a piece of paper," his obituary reads. He was also a talented watercolor artist.
