Wanted Suspect Barricades Himself Inside Stafford County Home (

A wanted suspect surrendered peacefully after barricading himself inside of a Stafford County home, police said. Deputies in Stafford County were notified that the suspect, whose name was not released, was in a home on Edwards Drive around 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, Major Shawn Kimmitz said. Deputies surrounded the home, but the man refused to leave. K9 and drone teams were called to the scene, and the man ultimately surrendered peacefully sometime around noon. Josue Gutierrez Of Chantilly Dies Suddenly, 18: 'Our Worlds Are Forever Changed'
A northern Virginia community is mourning the sudden loss of 18-year-old Josue Gutierrez. A high school senior in Chantilly, Josue died on Oct. 16 after battling depression, according to his obituary. Born in Honduras, Josue came to the U.S. at 14 years old. He was being remembered as a gifted artist who "could do amazing things with a pencil and a piece of paper," his obituary reads. He was also a talented watercolor artist. Virginia Powerball Player Was Almost A Billionaire
Carlos Gutierrez's ticket for the Oct. 9 Powerball drawing matched the first five numbers to win the million-dollar prize. The winning numbers were 16-34-46-55-67, and the Powerball number was 14. Gutierrez, of Centreville, said he initially selected all six of those numbers but at the last minute changed his Powerball number to 19. Had he stuck with those initial numbers, he would have won the jackpot. Instead, he won the $1 million prize. Brand-New Dodge Challenger Crashes Head-On Into Taxi Leaving 3 Dead In Virginia
Three people died in a head-on crash involving a brand-new Dodge Challenger and taxi on Loudoun County Parkway Wednesday, Oct. 25, authorities said. A 2023 Dodge Challenger was heading north on the Parkway when he lost control near Shellhorn Road and struck a Toyota Sienna taxi head-on around 10:50 p.m., the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. William "Bart" Trachin has died two years after an attack that left him seriously injured and his mother dead, according to his community. The Washington Borough man was 53 years old when he and his mother, 84-year-old Elaine Trachin, were attacked at their home in Washington Borough (Warren County), in 2021, as Daily Voice reported. A Virginia teacher who is accused of exposing himself to multiple victims near an elementary school was later found with child porn, authorities said. James William Nugent II, of Alexandria, a resource teacher at Groveton Elementary School, is facing charges of Taking Indecent Liberties with Child and 13 counts of Distribution of Child Pornography. Bailey Alexis Ross, of northern Virginia, died on Thursday, Oct. 12. She was 25 years old. According to her obituary, Bailey was born in Warrenton and raised in Marshall, for most of her childhood. Tractor Trailer Crash, Fuel Spill Jams Route 287
Traffic on Route 287 was delayed Wednesday morning, Oct. 25 for a crash involving a tractor trailer and two passenger cars in Morris County. The crash happened on the northbound side in Hanover Township around 8:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. A Kia passenger vehicle, a Chevrolet passenger vehicle, and tractor trailer were all headed north when the Chevy collided with the tractor trailer near milepost 39, McNair said.
