Three $50K Winners From Saturday's Powerball Drawing Were Sold In Virginia: Here's Where Three Powerball winners from the Saturday, Oct. 7 drawing were sold in Virginia. Each matched four of the first five winning numbers plus the Powerball number. They were bought at the following locations: Vikas Foods, 961 Temple Avenue, Colonial Heights West End Market, 269 Floyd Highway South, Floyd Online using the Virginia Lottery app Since no ticket in Virginia or anywhere else matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Monday, Oct. 9, drawing grows to an estimated $1.55 billion.

Driver Airlifted In Rt. 15 Sussex County Crash A 38-year-old woman was flown to the hospital in a crash on Route 15 in Sussex County, police said. The woman went off the roadway to the right, hitting a guard rail then overturning on the northbound side of the highway near milepost 13.5 Sunday morning, Oct. 8, Sparta police said. The woman was flown to a hospital out of an abundance of caution for possible head injuries, Detective Lt. Tom Snyder said.

Police ID Victim, Release Mugshot Of Murder Suspect Who Called 9-1-1 In Virginia Police have identified the victim killed by a woman they believe called 9-1-1 to report a medical incident in Virginia. Joi Camille Storr, of Woodbridge, has been charged with murder and stabbing in the commission of a felony for the killing of Jeremy David Lewis, 43, of Dumfries, Prince William County police said. Storr and Lewis had been arguing inside an apartment at the Dale Forest Apartments, in the 14300 block of Wrangler Lane, around 1:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, when Storr slashed him across his upper body, police said. Teen Twin Killed In Weekend NJ Crash: 'Our Community Is Reeling' A community in New Jersey is mourning the loss of a 17-year-old high school student and twin, who died in a weekend crash. Isabella Todaro, a senior at Hackettstown High School, was identified in a GoFundMe as the victim of the Long Valley crash on Saturday, Oct. 7. Woman Waving Gun, 69, Shot Dead By Officer In Pennsylvania: DA A 69-year-old woman was fatally shot by police after waving a gun and pointing it at responders in a Pennsylvania town. EMTs and Upper Moreland officers were called to the 100 block of Evans Avenue in Willow Grove Sunday, Oct, 8, around 5:05 p.m. on reports of a woman waving a gun outside of a home, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Son Captured In Florida After Stabbing Mom In Fairfax County: Police A 27-year-old man was arrested in Florida for stabbing his mom in Virginia, police said. Jorge Andres Esquivel Rivera, of Lorton was arrested Friday, Oct. 6, by Florida Highway Patrol, county police said. Esquivel Rivera is believed to have left his mom with life-threatening injuries after stabbing her in an apartment in the 9200 block of Cardinal Forest Lane in Lorton just before 1 p.m. Friday, police said. Coast Guard Helicopter Rescues 3 Boaters From Capsized Vessel In NJ (Video) Members of the US Coast Guard rescued three people from a capsized boat this weekend. The operator aboard an 18-foot disabled vessel used a VHF-FM radio to contact Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7, requesting assistance getting to shore in Great Bay, Little Egg Harbor (scroll for video). 22-Year-Old Driver Killed In I-295 Crash A 22-year-old driver was killed in a crash on I-295 early Sunday, Oct. 8, police said. Cameron Boyle, of Morris Plains, was heading north in a Honda when he lost directional control and ran off the roadway to the right, hitting a tree and concrete bridge support, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said. It happened at 3:44 a.m. on the northbound side, at milepost 63 in Hamilton Township, police said. Boyle died in the accident, which remains under investigation.
